Hi, I'm Sam - and The Wildernest actually started with a road trip.

My son and I were planning our first big 4WD touring trip around Australia, and like anyone getting ready for an adventure like that, I started searching online for gear. What I found was... a lot of the same. Big stores selling big-brand basics, page after page of generic gear with no story behind it - nothing that felt like it was made for this trip, this country, this kind of adventure.

So I went looking for something different. I started digging through smaller suppliers, hidden gems, the kind of gear that doesn't always make it onto the shelves of the big retailers, but makes a real difference once you're out there. The little things that make camp life easier, that work when you actually need them to, that you end up telling your mates about around the fire.

That search became The Wildernest. I wanted to share the magic of the Aussie camp site with as many people as I can. And I’d love to share it with you too.
